Kerala Med. PG Entrance on Feb1, 2009

Application invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to Post Graduate Medical (Degree/ Diploma) Courses in the Medical Colleges in Kerala, for the academic year of 2009-2010. the entrance examination will be held at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode on 1.2.2009 (Sunday).

The Examination to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) will consist of two Papers, each of two hours duration with each Paper having 150 Objective Type (Multiple Choice) Questions. Candidate must score 50% marks in the Entrance Examination to be considered for admission, and it is 40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST and SEBC.

Eligibility: Pass in MBBS course from any of the Medical Colleges in Kerala. Applicant should have taken M.B.B.S. Degree from any University in Kerala or from any other University, recognized by the Universities in Kerala as equivalent. Applicant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala origin.

Application can be submitted online at www.cee-kerala.org. Printout of the submitted applications along with the fee receipt in original towards application fee of Rs. 1000/- for General candidates and Rs 500/- for SC/ST candidates to be remitted in one of the selected branches of State Bank of Travancore (list available in the Prospectus) and documents required to be attached to the application as prescribed in the Prospectus should reach Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram - 695 001, by Registered Post/Speed Post/Hand Delivery by 5 pm on 12.01.2009 (Monday).

The CEE will conduct the Entrance Examination, prepare and publish the rank list of Candidates who qualify in the Entrance Examination and forward the same to the Director of Medical Education.

The selection, admission and allotment of seats including those under Service Quota will be made by the DME through a Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) and will be based on various provisions laid down in the Prospectus, approved by the Government of Kerala.
