NITIE- Industrial Engineering

NITIE, Mumbai invites application for their four courses
1. The PGDIM [post graduate diploma in industrial management]- course aims at inculcating a holistic approach towards business in some of the brightest brains of the country. It provides the appropriate blend of financial, marketing and operational acumen to mould the managers of tomorrow.

2. PGDIE [postgraduate diploma in industrial engineering]-is one of the very few courses that enjoy corporate excellence for over three decades. The program focuses on SCM, IT and Systems, Marketing, Finance and HR Management. PGDIE has evolved as a course for developing Managers with cross- functional skills.

3. PGDISEM [PG diploma in industrial security and environmental management]-Environmental considerations are becoming an integral part of core business planning. This course aims at redefining the relationship between business and environment on the basis of the cardinal principles of sustainable development.

4. Doctoral Program/ Fellow Program

Applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree in any branch of Engineering/Technology or equivalent with First Division (5% concession on First Division % marks for SC/ST/PD candidates). The application form can be obtained from the Admissions Cell or can be downloaded from the website. A draft of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- in case of SC/ST/PD candidates with attested certificate of caste), drawn in favour of "NITIE MUMBAI", has to be sent to NITIE along with the filled out form


Keeping in view the requirements of effective communications skills in the contemporary world, NITIE uses Group Discussions and Personal Interviews as parts of the admissions test procedure. The selection criteria are based on the combination of the GATE percentile score, Group Discussion, and Interview scores with appropriate weight given for each.A total of 90 seats are available. Of these 15% seats are reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST candidates and 3% seats for Handicapped/Disabled candidates, subject to the suitability of the candidate. In addition, seats are available for Industry Sponsored, QIP and Defence Services candidates. Candidates under these categories must have a first class degree in Engineering/Technology (55% in case of SC/ST candidates) and a minimum of two years' experience in the concerned field.
